Comments Off on Ed Hoskins – a series of articles worth reading
Bush & Blair lied about WMD so Lewandowsky lied about skeptics: the motivated lies & attacks intended to discredit honest people.
Lewandowsky is notorious within Skeptic circles. Unlike others who naivety end up insulting skeptics, Lewandowsky’s attacks are different. Because unlike others who end up attacking skeptics through ignorance, Lewandowsky’s attacks appear to be directed or motivated in a calculated manner distorting the evidence to damage skeptics. Why?
Addendum: Since this article was originally written it appears some chemical weapons were present in Iraq. “The Secret Casualties of Iraq’s Abandoned Chemical Weapons. This has led to discussion as to whether this vindicates Bush: Do Reports of WMD Found in Iraq Vindicate George W. Bush?. I’ve not been aware of this and obviously this might vindicate Bush about chemical weapons.
Because Lewandowsky’s behaviour is unusual and without any clear motive, I started reviewing Lewandowsky’s previous work to see if I could understand what made him tick and what might have caused him to behave this way. I now believe I have found the answer and the answer appears to be one of the most despicable acts we skeptics have seen. The evidence strongly suggests that Lewandowsky’s attack on skeptics were not a mistake. Instead it was part of a cynical campaign of attacks using morally reprehensible tactics which he himself condemned. Continue reading

Who will really win the American Election?

Robespierre leader of the reign of terror in the French revolution was himself a victim of that revolution.
Climate Depot have a great quote from an article lamenting: One big loser in this election? Climate policy.
You had billionaire Tom Steyer spending $57 million from his own pocket trying to convince voters to care about global warming. You had the League of Conservation Voters pouring in another $25 million into various races, more than it had in the previous two elections combined. All the while, some media outlets suggested that recent natural disasters — from Superstorm Sandy two years ago to the ongoing drought in the West — might push climate issues to the fore. Ultimately, none of it mattered much. Congress’ indifference to climate change will remain as solid as it’s ever been for the next two years — and maybe longer.’
So, neither money, nor the support of the most powerful elected politician (Obama), nor support of masses of the Dinosaur press, nor fearmongering with hyped up natural weather could sway the voters [like they used to] to vote for pro-delusional politicians, so who was the winner? Continue reading

Even the delusionists think the IPCC report was ignored.
After my last posts on the IPCC report:
Warmist media – like fish trapped in fast drying up muddy pool
IPCC report goes down like a Lead balloon
… comes just the independent corroboration I need from no other than one of the chief delusionists:
Climate [pause] Denial Crock of the Week
He’s not a happy bunny. It seems that he too has noticed the media no longer go along with their delusion:
The incredible contrast between the release of actual scientific warnings about climate, that MUST be heard and heeded to avoid catastrophe, and the media’s complete lack of attention – at this stage of the game, 2014, is mind boggling. (Climate denial crock of the week ) Continue reading
Why the pause hurts the climate delusionists so much
For years, the delusionists in the IPCC forced their view that CO2 caused the 20th century using a very simple argument:
CO2 went up
Temperature went up
Therefore CO2 caused temperature to go up
There’s no science to this argument. (The actual science as shown by Herman Harde is that a doubling of CO2 is likely to cause about 0.6C warming. That’s the only science in this whole scam, but you won’t find a mention of this one bit of science in any IPCC report++. This science only explains around 0.1C of the supposed 0.7C warming in the 20th century.)
They were particularly fortunate. CO2 measurements only began in 1958, since when CO2 levels have risen pretty steadily, so there’s no oddity or “events” in CO2 levels to take account of. And also, when they drew a line from the 1960s to 2001 (when this scam really took off), barring a small period in the 1960s without warming, they could claim that the 30 year rise from 1970-2000 was an exact match (allowing for “noise”).
And so long as CO2 rose and they could claim that temperatures were rising, they could claim a direct relationship between CO2 and temperature.
Then along came the pause

Revealed the fool truth of UK Spying on UN Climate talks.

UK spy HQ. Notice the cunning use of bicycles to hide it and avoid any suspicion of it being the UK spy HQ.
According to the Guardian:
The UN secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, says he will launch an investigation into reports that Britain spied on other governments at two successive global climate summits, snooping on other delegations’ kit, passes and membership lists.
A government document released by Edward Snowden showed that an officer from GCHQ, the government’s eavesdropping agency, had been embedded in the official British delegation to the UN climate summit in Copenhagen in 2009 and at Cancun in Mexico.
This sounded serious. So I immediately downloaded the offending document. It’s in Danish, fortunately I am fluent in Danish (OK, I once had a conversation in Danish with a drunk in a Danish bar). And from this I have been able to learn the fool truth of this horrendous international spying ring. Continue reading
Warmist media – like fish trapped in fast drying up muddy pool
As I looked down the very familiar list of media outlets still pushing the IPCC nonscience, I noticed the same familiar names:
BBC, Guardian, Independent, National Geographic,ABC.
But as I posted before, this year it is almost exclusively these last diehards. But now they sound so desperate. I’ve not yet heard “this is our last warning of your last chance” yet, but I’m sure I will be reading it soon.
What these last few media outlets reminds me of, is those fish in the muddy puddles which have been entirely cut off from the mainstream by the drought. At some point they made a terribly bad decision which got them stuck in a rapidly disappearing pool with all the other fish who made such an equally poor choice.
They are not spouting the IPCC nonscience because they have any real choice, but because they tied themselves to the IPCC nonscience so firmly that they cannot get away from that stagnant pool.
In contrast, to the writhing wriggling mass of warmists desperate for someone to save them from their own choice of a muddy grave, we sceptics are having an easy time swimming in the mainstream.
IPCC report goes down like a Lead balloon
Whilst hearing another non-science report from a group of delusional academics on drugs grants cannot be welcomed by those who pay for this non-science and have to watch our idiotic politicians who so gullibly believe them, the good news is that as far as I can see this report has gone down like a lead balloon with the media.
Yes, the usual crackpot papers are regurgitating the same sickening bile.
But beyond the crackpot fringe heading toward bankruptcy like the UK independent, or those like the BBC who are only kept afloat by huge public subsidy, there appears to be almost no interest in this report.
The consensus view must be this news headline:
The world just got its final warning on climate change
The same “final warnings” we have heard year after year after dreary year from the IPCC such as this one in 2009:
Last week’s conference has been widely reported as one at which the world’s scientists delivered a “final warning” to negotiators about the necessity for a powerful political deal on climate. (BBC 2009 after Jokenhagen)
So, yes, this may well be the “final”, “final warning”, because when the boy who cries wolf yells wolf and no one listens, even he knows its pointless to keep yelling “this is my final warning”.
IPPC lie in second paragraph

IPCC get ready for the press conference on their latest report.
(c) International Panel of Climate Clowns
I didn’t get far before I found the first obvious lie in the International Panel of Climate Clowns latest report. In fact it was item 1.1. in their synthesised report where they say:
Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, and since the 1950s, many of the observed changes are unprecedented over decades to millennia. The atmosphere and ocean have warmed, the amounts of snow and ice have diminished, and sea level has risen.
Using the period they give (because only a clown would say “it has warmed” without any time period) even using the IPCC’s own bogus upjusted figures, the warming from 1970 to 2000 is exactly the same scale and length as it was from 1910 to 1940. So, even within the same century their unequivocal warming since the 1950s is false.
To go over their other points – and it doesn’t need complex arguments because what they are saying is just utter nuts:
Human influence on the climate system is clear
No it’s not. I’ve seen nothing at all to suggest any human influence on the climate. Continue reading
