When I first became a sceptic – I assumed scientific knowledge would end the scare. Then when climategate hit, I thought that when it was known just how poor the science was and how biased those researching it, I thought that would bring it down.
I looked for analogies … perhaps like sharks, the press would eventually smell blood and come in for the kill. As I watched each new piece of evidence come in supporting us sceptics, I wondered “perhaps this time it will collapse”.
Eventually after nothing seemed to cause its collapse, I finally decide that the end would be a slow gradual loss of interest. But how could that happen? Everyone is paying for this scam through their fuel bills. Everyone is suffering as a result. It couldn’t just fade away – the law has to be changed – you can’t hide that. Continue reading →

Five years on from Climategate, I wanted to write a peace in memory of all the victims of this fraud. Because these fraudsters who have year after year after year lied about climate are not committing a victimless crime.
People are dying directly as a result of Mann, Hansen, Jones, Trenberth, etc. etc. etc.. These people have blood on their hands and they really should know it.

Who can doubt if the science-deniers of the pause had been pushing “Man-made global cooling” that they would not have jumped on this news as “yet further proof that man-made warming is harmful to cuddly polar bears”?

With the European Commission stuffed with green anti-capitalist zealots, it’s not surprising that the EU’s response to the challenges of a resurgent Russia is a complete break with reality.
The EU has come up with an aggressive climate plan—just like Obama’s. In defiance of all logic—if not Putin—it’s agreed to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 40% and make clean energy, like wind and solar, 27% of overall energy use by 2030.
Instead of guaranteeing the “survival of mankind,” this would cause the extinction of Europe’s industry

Forget Global Warming! We now face Global Chocolate shortage

According to new rigorous scientific research carried out by the prestigious journal scientific journal (found on most climate academics bookshelves – Cosmopolitan), the world now faces a global chocolate shortage.
Both chocolate capitalist: Barry Callebaut Group and Mars Inc have stated that “it’s much worse than we thought” as we could face a shortage of cocoa in the next few years, with the possibility of cocoa becoming endangered by 2020. It’s partly because we’re consuming way too much damn chocolate (the demand keeps rising, with the population eating more than we can realistically produce), but also due to environmental issues such as drought and disease.

 “The global cocoa sector may suffer a one million metric ton shortfall by 2020 because of increasing economic and environmental pressures on cocoa farms around the world,” Mars Inc. said in a statement.

In a statement issued by the evil empire of chocolate shortage sceptics, their highly paid PR consultancy and well known website “wattILikeIsChocolate said: “we’re sceptical”, followed later by corrections that only 97% were sceptical, the others disagreed with the hypothesis and others were thought to be evil chocolate hating warmists Trolls.

My mother in law, who although totally unqualified has proven to be just as accurate at the Met Office Long-term forecasts, tells me that “what they get in America, we’ll get in Scotland a few weeks later”.
Unfortunately, that has a worryingly ring of truth to it. So, when I see headlines like:

I take my mother-in-law as being a better indicator of our likely weather than the Met Office forecast:

Wet wet wet this winter?

But, seeing the Met Office squirm from yet another failed BBQ forecast would be only half the fun. Because the whole UK establishment could be in for a fall.

To err is human – to deliberately tell lies to a court is perjury

A a piece today no WattsUpWithThat, Lond Mockton is reported to have said:

This memorandum sets out evidence of falsehood with intent to mislead a court by Dr Michael E. Mann in a case in the District of Columbia against the Competitive Enterprise Institute and the National Review.

A number of times Lord Monckton is reported to have said that Mann “falsely stated” and moreover that he did so “with intent”. It appears to me that that in common parlance, this saying that Mann intentionally lied to a court and isn’t that Perjury?
Looking at the definition of “Perjury” I find:

Perjury, also known as forswearing, is the intentional act of swearing a false oath or of falsifying an affirmation to tell the truth, whether spoken or in writing, concerning matters material to an official proceeding.

I would assume that documents supplied to a court as part of a case would either have an express or implied affirmation that they are the truth. Looking online I find that the following relating specifically to the US:
