Here is what is on Mann’s facebook:
Let’s just remind ourselves what we were told fourteen years ago by the likes of Mann:
20 March 2000: Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past
According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.
“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

And in other news in the District of Columbia
Nov 19, 2014: District of Columbia approve bill to fine homeowners & businesses who don’t shovel walks within eight daylight hours after a storm.
Democratic Council member Mary Cheh who sponsored the bill, said it will prevent senior citizens and disabled people “from being stranded in their homes.”
26 Nov 2014: DC: Disruptive Storm Looms for Thanksgiving Travel
A storm packing rain, wind, low clouds and snow will lead to travel difficulties around Washington, D.C., especially Wednesday into Wednesday evening.

Should Scottish municipalities evoke the same requirement for snow-shoveling pavements in front of their property, our society would be much more resilient when it inevitably snows.
I think in our banana republic of non-science, if you are mad enough to be public spirited and clear the pavements the government would give money to NGOs to take out prosecutions against you if it then refreezes and you have an ever so tenuous link to someone falling over.
But if the council just can’t be bothered – and someone dies – this is no doubt another death from global warming.
Yea, you have a point there. Life now makes better sense. 🙂
