or a scam built on nothing but hot air and fraudulent data, what surprises me, is the total lack of understanding from the alarmists as to how Trump can so easily destroy the monster.
Instead, we’ve had articles like one from “Mother f*cking Jones” about how difficult it will be for Trump to destroy Obama’s legacy – by which they assume Trump will attack the government actions taken in response to the supposed “science”. Because these scientifically illiterate journalists are clueless how flimsy the foundations of the scam are. They just don’t seem to understand is that the natural climate denying “science” is the soft underbelly of the global warming scam. But does Trump?
To be fair to MFJ, Trump will undoubtedly target the ridiculous spending on climate non-science. What is less certain is that he will also target the non-science.
So, until we start to see how Trump’s administration acts, we will not know whether Trump will be sending a well aimed bullet direct at the head of the denialist monster and destroying it – or whetehr he will be blindly lashing out like a blind man, and merely cutting the tentacles, leaving the monster largerly unscathed and just making it more cross and more determined to carry on.
But whether by intention and his direct action – or just by creating the environment in which others can act to force through investigations, I’ve little doubt that Trump’s election heralds the end of the climate scam.

It makes little difference if President Elect understands (or takes time to understand) the “soft underbelly of the global warming scam”. Main stream media and the “scammers” surely care and will accuse him of not understanding when his administration does as they do not want. The more important point is that his appointees at the Cabinet Level and below, with responsibility in these matters, take this on board “do the right thing”. It’s going to be bloody.
Thanks. One thing I think is very clear, is that Trump is going to do things that the natural climate denying Press never in their wildest dreams thought possible. Indeed, I bet I’m going to be surprised myself.
Unfortunately not being from the US, I know very few of the “Cabinet level” appointees or how effective they are at doing “the right thing”.
However, I have serious concerns over Trumps understanding of climate and whether he will pick the right path. Because having seen how Trump operated in Scotland – to put it politely, he funded a bunch of middle class greenies whose views could be summed up as “Yes we must build windmills to combat the ‘proven’ threat of global warming – but not in my backyard“.
But by funding them (and not any sceptics) he merely reinforced the public view that windmills were necessary. This was not only counterproductive but by funding these NIMBY greenies he made it all the more difficult for people like me (with no money). I knew what I was talking about, The NIMBY greenies did not. But Trump left me trying to explain that the science did not support “bird-mincers”, in an environment where the scientific method was being flatly contradicted by the PRO-WIND but NIMBY Trump funded “greenies”.
On the positive side, he helped slightly to turn the public against bird-mincers, on the negative side, he made anyone speaking up for the real science look like madmen (unsupported even by the Trump funded group against wind).
Hello Scottish Sceptic. I am a research scholar from India working in the area of climate change scepticism. I have some queries regarding article on rankings of climate blogs which you published on 15 December 2013. It was a very informative article for my research. I would appreciate if you can get in touch with me on my email. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
The cabinet picks are very strong. I may not be recollecting history fairly, but my impression the line-up is the strongest in decades. In particular for this topic of interest, his pick for EPA Administrator, Myron Ebell, was perfect.
However, as the confirmation hearings progress, we’ll hear nothing but noise, fake news, machinations, and … politics, by all those opposed to success by the new Administration. The opposition will try to “Bork” more than one of the nominations. I predict DeVoss, Ebell, Sessions, and Tillerson’s hearings will be particularly difficult. It’s going to be difficult for us to separate the wheat from the chaff, with no help from BBC reporting, of course.
The problem is this: unless Trump puts in the time and money to develop an alternative acceptable narrative to the “global warming” theme OR we see such a massive down turn in termperature over the next three years that even the most ardent alarmist realises they’ve got it wrong, if another Democrat like Clinton makes their oily way into office, all they will do is take the dust covers off the scam and press the start button. And Hey presto – the scam will be up and running in no time. All Trump will give us is a rest bight from the scam not its death knell.
So, Trump may have a strong cabinet, but unless he SPENDS MONEY and INVESTs in developing the subject of climate to take it beyond the stupid voodoo like claptrap of CO2 warming, it will just come back after he’s gone.
It’s like a gardener – they can try to get rid of the weeds by using flamethrowers or even weed killer – but using that approach the weeds will just have new ground to grow in when the weedkiller wears off.
Instead, you need to sow and nuture an alternative floura which will so dominate the ground as to make it impossible for the weeds to find a foothold.
However, Trump has run probably the most successful campaign in world history, getting himself elected against the vast majority of press and media – and I run a little read climate blog. So, I’m willing to accept that Trump knows a lot more about changing the public mindset than I do.
On the other hand, he got it completely wrong in Scotland. Yes the vile BBC did all they could to attack him personally, but the reality is that many people still take what the biased BBC says as gospel truth.
