Could Paris Climate talks now be target for extremist violence?

As news comes in of another series of violent attacks in Paris, questions must surely be raised as to whether it can be safe to bring in so many world leaders from all over the globe to a meeting – which will be attended by radical climate extremists – some of whom are not unused to violent protest – particularly when it is known the meeting will not provide any tangible outcome.
Paris is clearly a hotbed of extremists – and surely COP21 will be a very tempting target!

Paris shootings and explosions near Stade deAt least 18 people have been killed in several shootings in the French capital, Paris, as well as explosions at the Stade de France.

At least one man opened fire with an automatic gun at the Petit Cambodge restaurant in the 11th district.
Liberation newspaper reports shootings near the Bataclan arts centre.
Three explosions are also reported outside a bar near the Stade de France, where France were hosting Germany.
Reports say French President Francois Hollande was watching the match and has been moved to safety.

  1. TinyCO2 says:

There are regular meetings with many world leaders, especially westerners. The Paris conference will be well policed. The biggest risk is to average people.
The elites and the media cheerfully tell anyone who will listen that the west is guilty of everything from volcanoes, through war and on to reduced sperm rates. Is it any wonder that sooner or later, people believe them and decide to exact revenge? The elites want to expiate their own self loathing for being wealthy and want to heap shame on their equally elite opponents but it’s the public that has to pay the bills their ‘betters’ run up.

  2. Scottish-Sceptic says:

I think it will be called off for a number of quite sensible reasons, but first the irrational ones:
    1. World leaders are not going to want to gather together in Paris
    2. The delegates are the more gullible of society – who can be persuaded that a plant food is the greatest evil of humanity “worse than terrorism”.
3.So many people will find some excuse why they are needed elsewhere
    … but the rational reasons:
    4. The French police have far more important things to do than baby sit a lot of climate hysterics.
    5. The French president and other politicians will have far more important things to do than waste time preparing for these talks
    6. Everyone knows the talks will be a failure – so they already want an excuse to pull the plug
    7. So, the obvious thing for the French police to do, is to pull out the 30,000 police assigned for these talks – and deploy them on finding, capturing and destroying support for these terrorists.
    8. So, because the police will be dealing with this terrorism, they will not be able to cope with the ADDITIONAL security now needed for these stupid talks as a result of these incidents.
    9. So, without proper preparation, all the gullible people attending them will be even more scared … so even more will pull out.
