A new rising star is born as MP David Davies demolishes Labour lies.

For years grubby politicians in the UK parliament have felt free to lie and lie and lie about global warming knowing that no would would dare stand up and tell the truth.

Well … that seems to have ended!

(Thanks Mr. Arthur Ainslie for highlighting this video)

On the 10th of June 2015, UK Member of Parliament, David TC Davies MP rose to tell the Government The Truth about Climate Change, during the debate. The Government refused to deny his well founded assertions, even though he asked the Climate Minister to correct him if he was mistaken, and if she knew any different.
A red faced Labour Party MP was embarrassed to hear that his own fatuous assertions were actually contradicted by the UNIPCC itself, in documents read out by Mr. Davies.

This is absolutely brilliant – many thanks for sharing – I’ll make sure our local MPs see this.

  2. I’m more interested in what he didn’t quote from that paragraph in the IPPC report.

  3. For a start, he’s wrong to promote the idea that the Earth has been pretty much the same for 4200 million years. The atmosphere didn’t have any free oxygen oxygen for about 3500 millions of those years. Carbon dioxide is not the most potent of greenhous gases, methane is.
If humaniy, in 200 years, has consumed 1% of the carbon sequestered as fossil fuels during the 64 million years of the Carboniferous Era, we have changed the atmosphere and the oceans by an amount equivalent to reversing the photosynthic/tectonic activity of 64 thhousand centuries.
However, the problem is te burning of fossil carbon. It produces staggering amounts of carbon dioxide, but never mind that. On the grounds alone of the thousands of tons of poisonous, acidic gases emitted even by the so-called “clean, Natural” gas turbines, the world would be far healthier, and more sustainable, with nuclear power.
It is ludicrous to find solar and wind power enthusiasts calling PV panels and wind “turbines” exciting new things, and dismissing technologies invented in the late 18th and middle twentieth centuries as “traditional”. The fact is that in 1881, before Sir William Thomson became Lord Kelvin,, he could say that “even in the present days of steam ascendancy, old-fashioned Wind still supplies a large part of all the energy used by man.” — on account of the fact that of 40,000 ships in the British registry, 30,000 were powered by sail. The next 70 years pretty much put a stop to that.
So, to the extent that David Davies condemns the idea of subsidizing wind and solar and “biofules” energy, I heartily agree with him.
But on the grounds of toxins alone, it is indeed time to STOP burning coal, oil, or even “clean natural gas”, and we should be using the technology that France designated as Électricité de France, probably so that la belle France would not be dependent upon their old enemy les Allemands.

CO2 is s plant food. Globally harvests are increasing.
If you think that’s a bad thing – then we have very different views on morality.
In contrast, because of winter colds there have been 1million extra winter deaths in the UK alone.
If you think that is a good thing – then again we have very different ideas of morality.

    WOW!
    Just…WOW!

  6. The only sad thing about this is that there were so few in the chamber to hear Davies’ words of wisdom. But here’s hoping that this video goes viral – and that one sees a rapid return to common sense among more and more UK MPs.
    Yeah, I know … but I can dream, can’t I?!

  7. Scottish-Sceptic says:

I was just reading today that “Global Warming the facts” was at #74 on the Amazon list. I just assumed that was #74 in the environment, or #74 in non-fiction. But as far as I can tell, it’s #74 in all book sales. Given that most of the big sellers will be fiction, that is an incredible ranking.
This scam could be about to blow up!
