This is one of the most blatant frauds in history. The evidence is so clear and unequivocal that it beggars belief that those involved are not already serving jail sentences.
NASA have a clear self interest in promoting environmental doomsday as they get a lot of money off the back of these scares for yet another space program to launch another satellite to look down on earth to “monitor” whatever the latest fashion is in environmental doomsdays from ozone to acid rain to CO2.
In the UK when it was discovered that bankers had merely fabricated the LIBOR inter bank lending rate – the police investigated, bankers were in court billions of fines were imposed and ministers were forced to resign.
But when it comes to this scam – the scam Steven Goddard and many other people have repeatedly shown this to be a fraud, yet not a single person in the “establishment” has taken this clear unequivocal fraud seriously.
Which shows they all have their snouts too deep in this scam to admit the truth.

    When I suggested at WUWT that people should be in jail for this fraud, Anthony Watts removed my comment.

    Philip, Whether they should be in jail is a decision that should be left to the courts, but that they should be investigated and tried is beyond question.
    As for Anthony. Unfortunately, he is still under the delusion that they got it a little bit wrong and that CO2 warming is “too high”. The reality is that when history looks back, I don’t think there will be much distinction in their laughter between his view and that of the “consensus” when it comes to the affect of CO2.
    I’ve long known CO2 won’t cause more warming, irrespective of the level of CO2 AT THIS TIME, but the daft thing is that now people had become more tolerant of scepticism, I thought I could explain this to everyone, combining the hypothesis about CO2 warming but also explaining how it couldn’t possibly warm the climate now.
    So, I thought I had found a way to let people say “we were right about CO2 … but I can see it can’t cause further warming”. Unfortunately, when I did the research to back up this work, the biggest problem I found was that I simply could no find compelling evidence to link CO2 to climate and even at times the evidence shows that it is positively lacking correlation.
    What that means, is that no matter what we do, not only won’t it warm much now due to CO2 … it never has warmed much due to CO2.
    Unfortunately that’s not the half-way house that might be politically acceptable at the moment so not a lot of point publishing it.
    But what it does mean is that sooner or later we will get another run of cold years, at which time both the assertions of the fraudsters AND the assertions and beliefs of sceptics like Anthony Watts will look pretty ridiculous

    I think Anthony has spent a little too much time hobnobbing with the enemy, and picked up a touch of of Stockholm Syndrome.
    There are signs he is managing to overcome it, however…

    What I’ve learnt over time is that no matter how poor you think the evidence is backing this scam … it will only prove much worse if you investigate.
    As I said to philip, unfortunately, I was stupid enough to look at the ice-core data and even worse – was trying to shoe-horn the theory of CO2 warming into a much bigger theory – and I just could not make it fit.
    Ironically, I assumed that if I were looking for evidence backing CO2 warming, then it would be relatively simple to find it.
    Instead I found that after the interglacial peak,16,000 years later CO2 remains high whilst the earth plummets into a short glacial period. In other words, zito correlation with CO2.
    So, immediately zero credibility with alarmists (which was always likely), but worse, zero credibility with people like Watts.
