2017, the Global Warming scam will be torn apart by Trumps appointees in the US. And like many projects Global Warming has been through different phases. The last but one I’d describe as “disillusionment and lost of public belief”; The final phase is legal action and the size will be absolutely massive.
Why? Because the whole scam (at least in the UK) was based on a new idea: commercial obligations not taxation.
Instead of taxing us poor citizens and having the whole thing regularly scrutinised through the parliamentary budget process, one where the government acted for the “good of us all”, the government chose to avoid putting the costs through the public books and made the electricity providers legally responsible for providing a service of “saving the planet”, and so legally there’s no presumption of working for any social good.
Taxation is something we poor people have to pay however pathetically the government use our money. So, even if they completely mismanage the finances no lawyer (yet) has found a way to get our money back. But legal cases against commercial companies are ten a penny. We can sue commercial companies to get back our money.
I’m no lawyer, and this will be no ordinary case, but given the sums involved, they’ll find a way to win money. I imagine they could argue that the supplier failed to deliver the “saving the world” that was sold to the consumer. All one will need to show, is that electricity portrayed their product as “Green” (a safe bet) and there will be a failure to deliver that service. And there is no defence “we didn’t know it was green”. Because the consumer has a right to the product described even if the supplier did not know what they were supplying did not fit the description.
This means a potential law suit just in the UK amounting to perhaps £300,000,000,000. (£5000/household). It will make PPI look puny! We will have hundreds of solicitors phoning up to take on our costs to recover our losses.
Assuming the electric suppliers lose out (because even the judges stand to win!!) they then have to try to recover their costs from someone. But some of those suing will be whole countries whose citizens lost money due to this scam. Very clearly a country like New Zealand who relied on the evidence from NASA/Met Office, could argue that the UK/US government should cover the cost of refunding all the money their consumers lost.
And undoubtedly the main target will be anyone who advised the IPCC. Anyone who in any way contributed to the report is part of a group who reckless disregard for the science let to massive costs – and those costs are therefore recoverable from those people who were part of the IPCC process.
That almost certainly means the UEA, Penn State University, the Met Office, WWF (who were a big part in IPCC), will be sold off to pay damages to claimants. Indeed, quite ironically it may also include climate sceptics including LORD MONCKTON (note I was never that stupid).
Then there are the cases for environmental damage:
At the time they put these damned things up, the lawyers were assessing the potential damage from putting up bird/bat-mincers, would have thought that “everyone” loved the things (according to the fabricated research). So who could believe that a jury would ever find for some householder affected by them?
So any company who put up birdmincers will also find themselves a target for legal action.
But unlike the time when put up and “everyone loved them”, today we know these bird/bat mincers will are killing millions of birds/ bats, that they will have cost £1000s for every household and that there has been no warming for 18 years, and it now looks like cooling for the next few years.
And these people were not technically working for the government. There is no government liability. Instead they were simply commercial companies providing a commercial electricity to the electric supply companies. So, there is no legal protection for them as a “social good”.
And very soon, it will be impossible to find a jury that has any sympathy for wind/bat mincers. Particularly, when they all stand to get back £1000s from any law suit.
THIS WHY POLICIES LIKE THIS NORMALLY GO THROUGH TAXATION. YOU CAN’T SUE THE GOVERNMENT FOR TAX – BUT YOU CAN SUE AN ELECTRICITY COMPANY FOR A SERVICE.
As the public mood turns and as the lawyers see the opportunity to make shed loads of dosh by taking on claimants, then the law cases will come. Not a few in a few countries, but potentially thousands even millions of law cases in countries and some cases in every country.
It will become almost a legal speciality in itself. There may be lawyers leaving University this year** who devote their entire working lives to sewing the pants off the scamsters.
Of course the main winners will be lawyers … but just as there was nothing I could do to stop the scam in the first place, there’s nothing I can do to stop the lawyers getting their cut as well.

I expect to slowly die off, since the scam is mostly media driven. They will simply stop talking about it. In the memory hole the scam will go.
But the environmental organizations like Greenpeace, they pretty much put all theirs eggs in the global warming agenda. I expect them to loose relevance for a very long time.
As for the U.N. gravy train I have no clue what to expect for them.
